Notes: Angel is a great older dog (7 or 8) who came in from Animal Control in terrible condition as the before picture shows.  Her coat was matted and weighing her down.  Now she is shaved; Feeling naked; Camera Shy, but feeling much better as far as her formerly matted hair goes.  You'd never guess that she is a senior dog by the way she is now running around the yard.  She is an absolutely great dog who would make someone a wonderful pet.  She would probably make some senior a good companion.  She will be really cute once her hair grows out a little bit more.  Her kennel is always clean, which would indicate that she is probably housetrained.  Adoption fee: $185.00.

Notes: Bambi is a friendly, well-mannered female who needs a loving home to call her own.  Bambi came to us as a stray and can jump very high which enables her to leap tall fences in a single bound.  While with her foster mom, Bambi walks very well on a leash and gets compliments on her manners and appearance.  Bambi seems to have fur instead of hair and her shedding is minimal.  Beautiful Bambi needs an owner who has time for walks and lots of love and kisses.  Bambi has lots of kisses and seems to be responsive to males.  Adoption fee: $185.00.

Notes: Bella is a beautiful, eight month old, tan and white beagle who came into the shelter from Animal Control. She is very playful and good with both kids and cats. She's looking for a family to call her own. Bella was adopted at the end of July only to be returned a month later because she wasn't housetraining as fast as the family wanted. If you're looking for a playful dog, Bella is the girl for you. Before adopting an unhousetrained dog remember that housetraining is not something that happens over night. It needs patience and understanding. My husky took a year to housetrain, and she was a wonderfu pet for the ten years she lived before being taken by cancer.

Notes:  Breezy is one of three sweet Boxer mix puppies who came into our no kill shelter when they were rescued from a kill shelter.  These babies are absolutely adorable and will soon be available for adoption.  We will allow these puppies to go home before they are old enough to be spayed or neutered.  However, in order to do this a $100.00 deposit will be added to their adoption fee.  This deposit will be returned as soon as we receive proof that the puppy has indeed been altered, either through our vet (free to you) or your own vet (you must pay yourself).  We are currently taking applications on these puppies, but they will not be available to go home for a while.  Adoption Fee:  $185.00 plus $100 spay deposit.

Notes:  Captain Morgan is a great little dog who came into the shelter when his owner was moving and could not take him with.  He is a little shy at first, but he warmed up to our dog person fairly quickly his second night here.  He gets along well with all of the other little dogs and enjoys playing with them.  We found that the key to this little guy's heart is through his stomach and one of the best ways to gain his trust is through treats.  However, once you've won his trust, he is just as happy getting pats and rubs when no treats are proffered.  Adoption fee: $185.00.

Notes:  Chopper is a great dog who came in from Animal Control, where he had been turned over by his previous owners. He sort of resembles a giant puggle. Chopper is a sweet boy who likes to chase after balls, although he does need some work on bringing them back. Chopper is looking for a forever home to call his own. He knows that he has a lot to offer to whomever chooses him as their pet. Perhaps you are the person he's been looking for. Adoption fee $185.00.

Notes:  Daisy is a wonderful little rat terrier who came in as an owner turn in.  She has fit right into our office as an office dog.  She loves nothing more than being with people.  This tiny lady would make someone the greatest lap dog around.  She has so much love to share, and all she wants in return is a loving person or couple to call her own.  She will be available for adoption as soon as she has been vetted.

Notes: Don Juan, A.K.A. Donny, is a lovable young rat terrier who was discovered running as a stray not far from the Animal Shelter.  There were marks on his neck which indicated that he had worn a collar for a long period of time, but it was missing the day he was taken in.  Donny loves to have the attention of people and will love anyone who will show him a little kindness.  Probably abandoned by his former owner, Donny simply wants to find someone who will love him forever.  Don Juan's kennel is always clean, which would indicate that he is probably housetrained.  Adoption Fee ??????

Notes:  Elwood came into the shelter as a puppy when his owner discovered that a puppy was just too much work.  He was quickly adopted, but has since found his way back into the shelter, because his new person just didn't have the time to spend with him due to her working schedule.  Elwood is a great dog who can't figure out why he is surrounded by all kinds of barking big dogs.  His kennel is always clean which would indicate that he is housetrained.  He likes nothing more than to be with his person.  He would rather sit and be petted than run around chasing after balls.  Born on July 4th of 2007, this little guy is more of a sparkler than a big firecracker.  Perhaps you are the person who can put the sparkle back into this little guys life.  Adoption fee $185.00.
