Notes: BobCat is an adorable ginger Bobtail/Manx! He is a snuggly boy! He loves laps and being brushed! The friendly and outgoing BobCat is a gentle and loving boy who has had too much sadness in his short life. First BobCat was dumped in the country when he was no longer wanted by his last owner. BobCat is a Lover not a Fighter and the feral tomcats all beat him up mercilessly. BobCat would not even defend himself! He was rescued by a very kind woman who took him to the vets to treat the abscess that he had from all the abuse from the other cats. The wounds have all healed now, but poor BobCat has tested positive for FIV. FIV is a slow lentivirus that affects a cats immune system. FIV is mainly spread by deep bite wounds as in BobCat's case. It is also rarely spread by mating or passed on to kittens by mothers. It can NOT be spread casually - by sharing litter boxes, water and food bowls, or when snuggling and playing. The majority of FIV cats live very long and normal life spans. FIV is not a death sentence. BobCat has many years of purrs and head butts to share! We desperately want BobCat to know what it is to have a true loving home, because of this we are only asking for a very small adoption fee of $50, just enough to cover his neutering and basic expenses. That Friday she took on her second foster kitten, whose mother had died during a c-section. A week later, she took on yet two more orphans. After weaning these first nine kittens, she began nursing four more babies from a mama kitty killed by a car. Bootsie has now weened the last of her foster kittens. She is finally be able to rest and has been spayed, so she can be adopted out to a loving home. If any cat ever deserved a good home, Bootsie is that cat. Her capacity to love is boundless.
